Here are all of CallumPetch's jams.
"Happy People" has been one of my favourite albums of the year so far, just 10 straight tracks of Britpop-influenced goodness, so you can probably tell that I am rather excited at getting to see these guys next month at Nottingham Rock City.

I never got as involved with #FunkyFriday as much as I wanted to - either due to being away at the cinema those days or having a conflict with my jam schedule - which I am rather disappointed by. So, even though it's not Friday, I hope you won't all mind me throwing in one last entry into the tag from myself.

I loved my day at Leeds Festival. Saw many acts, almost all of which were great, but one of my biggest highlights was making it to the Foals secret set. They are absolute FIRE live and, though I'm gutted that I missed out on tour tickets this time, I was so utterly thrilled by the half hour set they played, losing my mind the entire time! Shame the crowd were a bit shit, mind.

Next Sunday, I will be spending a day at Leeds Festival, the first time I'll have gone to a festival! There are plenty of acts that I'm looking forward to seeing - Circa Waves, Wolf Alice, Azealia Banks, among others - but I'm most excited about finally getting to see Ash! Sure, it's Ash without Charlotte Hatherley (I hold up the Ash of "Free All Angels" and "Meltdown" as the definitive Ash), but Tim Wheeler can still write amazing songs and the festival atmosphere basically guarantees them playing their best hits anyway!

Aw, you folks! Your well-wishes in my comments are making me blush! They really are! Well, again, I'm going to be here jamming until they finally turn the lights off, so let's have a goddamn party! The Go! Team, relatedly, will be playing at The Duchess in York on Sunday September 20th. I suggest getting tickets, they slayed the Village Underground in London when I saw them in June!

These guys are a rather recent discovery of mine, but I can't get enough of them! They're playing their first UK shows in October, with tickets still available for the one at KOKO in London. Check them out if you can!

Was going to jam this anyway, and then the news that the site was effectively shutting down broke which makes it rather appropriate. I'll be hanging around until the place finally breathes its last, though, so let's all enjoy these last few weeks together, eh? The news: http://thisismyjam.tumblr.com/post/126260430022/jam-preserves

Holy hell, this is Jam #450! Where have the last three years gone? Thanks for finding my music taste interesting/tolerable enough to hit that big yellow button down there! Here's a song I recently haven't been able to stop listening to!

Self-Promotion Time, again, if that's OK with you all! Screen 1 is still on Monday nights at 9PM BST on Hullfire Radio (radio.thehullfire.com/) and I would still like you all to listen to it if you can/want to! This is, in my opinion, our best episode yet, so if you have a spare 50-odd minutes, then give us a try! If you'd prefer to hear the show with the music, or want to access our entire archive up-to-now, then you can go here (radio.thehullfire.com/shows/screen-one/) and use our Mixcloud!

I discovered this on Sunday night, along with an ARG website (http://www.rainbowmonkeys.com/) and a coded timer that is apparently ticking down to April 1st. If this is fake, I will be insufferable. If this is real, I will be insufferable. Codename: Kids Next Door might be coming back... #stopthegknd

Catch-Up Jam: Normally, a few months after I do my Top 31 Songs of the Year countdown, I get a little bit regretful about what ends up on there - songs being higher than they deserve, picking the wrong song by an artist, or just plain missing a song that, had I heard in time, would have cracked the list somewhere. My regret this year started about 10 days into 2015. That's right, I had not heard "Uptown Funk" until January of this new year. HOT DAMN, did I ever miss out! This is quite literally everything I ever want in a song and I haven't stopped listening to it for the last month. If I'd heard it in time, this would have been at least #2 on my list, no question. "Uptown Special" is also a surprisingly great album, but that's another story for another time.

Catch-Up Jam/New Music: Yes, I already have the album pre-ordered. Yes, I have not stopped listening to this all January. Yes, I was pushed to the brink of happy tears upon first listening. #newmusic

#Top31Tracksof2014: And so we reach the end of our journey and arrive at my No. 1 Song of 2014! I really can't say enough good things about the winner, this year. I adore its build, its groove, the skyward guitars, that running synth bass, the soaring chorus, the entrance of (and everything to do with) Nancy Whang's exquisite voice, the sheer dance-ability of the thing... I cannot stop listening to this track, it always cheers me up, and it fully deserves the top spot. Go pick up "In A Dream", people! That's the countdown, folks! Thanks for following along! Regular service resumes tomorrow.

#Top31Tracksof2014: And so, once again, my Album of the Year fails to also contain my Song of the Year, although it was unbelievably close, this time. Bombay Bicycle Club have always been one of those bands that I wanted to like more than I actually did, their singles being fantastic but their albums sort of just existing. "So Long, See You Tomorrow" changed that, delivering 10 straight smashes, exploring all possible facets of their alt-pop sound, and each track filled with mammoth stadium-wide hooks and choruses - even the ones that were more focussed on emotions and mood than choruses (the gorgeous "Home By Now"). But it was "Luna", it was always "Luna", that was going to end up on my list. I mean... listen to it! Just listen to the thing! It's pretty much perfect and, despite having come out last January, I still have not gotten sick of it! #bestof2014

#Top31Tracksof2014: Kasabian are one of my very favouritest bands ever, so they were practically guaranteed a spot somewhere on this list. That said, I feel that "48:13" is possibly the weakest of their albums to date, the highs are extraordinarily high, but the lows are uncharacteristically just plain bad (*coughcoughglasscough*). Hasn't stopped me from spinning the full album, and especially the highs, countless times these past seven months, of course. "Treat", from the first time my ears caught wind of it, has been by far my favourite off of the record. It has the cocksure swagger of vintage Kasabian, but places extra emphasis on the underrated rhythm section of Chris Edwards and Ian Matthews, the former's groovy bass locking in tightly with the latter's rocksteady beat to push the dancier side of the band to the forefront. And then when the second half of the song just becomes a Haçienda throwback? Glorious! Also, you should REALLY see this performed live. #bestof2014

#Top31Tracksof2014: They've yet to release an album, or even a real EP in the UK, but Circa Waves have remained at the forefront of my brain for most of last year thanks to a string of outstanding singles. "Stuck In My Teeth" may not re-invent any wheels, it's short punchy indie rock, but it is catchy as hell and a straight shot of happiness which, as anybody who has made it through 2014 should know, is something I particularly hold in high regard. Bring on the album! #bestof2014
