Here are all the jams that FhainRocker likes
I'm gonna wind things up a few days early, because I just know that I'll forget to check back on the site on the final day if I try to post my final jam then. It's been a fun couple of years, and I'll see most of you on LetsLoop. I may give the other alternatives a try, too.

friday, aka "dance dance in your underpants" lunch break day. talking about that lower dens with Bryce reminded me of electrelane, and this song in particular (even though it sounds nothing like the organ/synth-y stuff that is more lower dens-ish) as he put it on a mix tape for me well over a decade ago. the acoustic version floating on the youtubes is great too in a different way. "I BET I'D LIKE YOUR UNDERWEEEEAAAAAARR!"

Probably my all time favorite Essential Mix. DJ Andy Smith throws you into a world of trip hop, funk, rock, early-mid 90's hip hop, and a smattering of other delicious nuggets of sound. Great for chilling out or getting a solid groove on. Wish I knew of more mixes/albums like this.

Possible last jam, crikey! I was hoping to find a link that includes the track that follows this one from Strummer's excellent soundtrack. This is said track if you're interested https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QLXtPgItj2M

i'm always so ambivalent about chromatics. can never get through more than a handful of their songs at once because the derivativeness and sameness, purposeful muting of certain things mounts and starts to feel deafening/stifling, but there's a stable of songs of theirs i treat like singles, once in a while pulling out and getting into ("hands in the dark", "i want your love", the first part of "these streets will never look the same"...). i guess today it's this one. and they love a lot of the songs i do ("i'm on fire", "running up that hill", "blue moon", etc.), but eh i just don't know. very push-pull attraction i have with them.

rest in peace, moebius. R put this on a mix tape for me, one of the very first when we started dating. i clearly remember driving out to arlington for god knows what bureacratic reason, something to do with getting a new title because the van/my residency had crossed state lines, during a hellacious rainstorm on like a wednesday morning (this was when my work schedule was wonky as all get out). this came on, and everything went from annoying to just right in a flash. it became one of my "driving to work" anthems for like a good solid year, along with pylon's "working is no problem" and some archers of loaf song, i forget which. really, i'm hardpressed to think of better songs than this in general, the grand scheme of things.
