Here are all of alexis's jams.

Overplaying most things today (I'll be swapping out my jam for anything I listen to more than 3 times, and not really sweating what ends up being the last. Jamroulette!)
Jammed: 26th Sep 2015
Couldn't find "Was That All?" alone, but it's the very first track on this album.

man. I don't care how grungy squeaky your guitars are, this is poetry. (at least 40 seconds in) "and I want a love that falls as fast as a body from the balcony, and I want a kiss like my heart is hitting the ground I'm holding my breath with a baseball bat though I don't know what I'm waiting for"

I keep going back to this album this week. "Now kid, I know I haven't been a perfect man And I've avoided doing things I know I can But if I learned one thing, the tattoo on my arm will burn into my thumb It would be that You must stick up for yourself, son Never mind what anybody else done Stick up for yourself, son Never mind what anybody else done Stick up for yourself, son Never mind what anybody else done"

"I started dancing, just to be around you." "Here's to thinking that it all meant so much more" I want to see Angel Olsen tonight so bad- but she's on at 1am at a stage I'd probably need to line up at 9pm for- and there's so much else going on. So, here's to potentially passing on awesome opportunities.

Make sure you give it until at least 16 seconds in, after synth shows up. "Enigmatic Canadian artist Lewis (also known as Louis Baloue) is primarily known for his 1983 album L'Amour. Originally discovered in an Edmonton, Alberta flea market and shared online by rare LP enthusiasts, L'Amour is a spare pop album of synth and acoustic guitar featuring Lewis' half-lidded, Bryan Ferry-esque croon. The album became something of an Internet phenomenon and resulted in wild speculation as to who Lewis was and what became of him. Purportedly, he was in actuality a stockbroker named Randall Wulff, who may have recorded several more albums. In 2014, L'Amour and a follow-up, 1985's Romantic Times, were reissued on Light in the Attic Records."

Oh god- this song. This song this song this song. It smells, tastes, feels like 1997/98 for me. This song crawled into my head before I fell asleep and I immediately woke up to find it (able to via googling "Sunday morning waking up coffee cup" because it's all I could grasp in sleepy fog) I don't think its all nostalgia- but it's possible.

This is California's jam at the moment.

Got stuck on this one while browsing SxSW stuff. Do I know anyone or do you know anyone that is thinking about going to #SXSW2015 in a somewhat professional capacity? (Potentially looking to share lodging, professional as in- not likely to bail, willing to plan ahead of time) Thinking about doing music/interactive this year. If you've been previously, any advice would be welcome.

My current reality is one where I realize that Low and Slowdive are playing near me, tomorrow... and I don't even think about trying to get tickets or fidgeting with my schedule. This is why I don't even bother to look up concerts lately. Shameful.

pushing on through basically, this. with a lot more justification and less health. ("... but I just don't feel like I can make it no more") I just love that it's so sweet and slow-danceable
