A strange but interesting song my cousin showed my a while back. It's a long one, but it's good, it's got a very laid back feel to it in an odd way. I also just like the contrast between some of the more natural sounding instruments like the bass with other more digital sounds.

While I'm not necessarily the biggest Tame Impala fan, and definitely not a huge Kanye fan, something about putting them together like this is just perfect. They just mesh really well, and the rhythm they create together is particularly good.

This is one of my favorite tracks from the sound track of Superbrothers: Sword and Sworcery, which is a really neat little mobile game with a surprising amount of depth. This song just really sticks out to me from the rest though, it's got a bit more of a rock groove to it than the rest I think, with just a little bit of an ominous feel to it.

I love how over the top positive this is, to an almost ridiculous extreme. It's really perfect for the movie, and it is just generally pretty awesome

Transistor is of my favorite games of recent years, and a big part of that is because of the music, which is closely tied to the characters and the setting, in particular with the main character, Red. Ashley Barrett, who provides the singing voice of Red, really breathes life into the character and the whole world around her, and the tracks she sings on in the soundtrack are real standouts, particularly this one and We All Become.

This is just a really beautiful piece, there's just something pretty timeless about it.

Here's another song from a video game, although a much different one from the last song I did. Journey, along with it's soundtrack, is very refined with beautiful, breath taking moments and grandeur. On the other hand To the Moon is a bit rougher, less serious, but much sadder. It is genuinely one of the saddest things I've seen, in a very good way. With this song though, I hope it might have the same emotional impact for anyone who hasn't seen the game that it already does have on me, although I know a lot of the impact does come from the characters and the story since the music is directly tied to both. Still though, it is a beautiful song and I hope you enjoy it either way.

by The Dubliners
I had heard this song somewhat recently and I figured, with St. Patrick's day coming up this week, now would be a good time to share it. It is actually an English folk song originally, but The Dubliners really do make it their own with their Irish folk rendition. Either way though, it's a great song and I really enjoy it.

The final song from the soundtrack of Journey, which is honestly one of the most beautiful things I've ever experienced. This song is just stunning, as is the rest of the soundtrack.
