When you have a band that writes a song called "Motherfucking Bobcat" and the main refrain of the song "Motherfucking Bobcat" is the screamed words "motherfucking bobcat", then you have my attention.

I'e been on a totally unexplainable White Zombie kick lately. Maybe I just need to watch *Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!* to remedy that.

Does anybody need to hear "Jocko Homo" or "Kool Thing" for the 1000th time? Those are the only other songs I'm jamming on right now. No? Then you're welcome.

Know that scene in the movie where you & your newly found paramour are back at their place after last call? Both of your breaths reek of cigarettes, grass, and booze; one or the other of you just broke up with some asshole piece of shit, neither of you has any interest in "getting serious"... It's just time to get nasty, uninhibited, and destroy the fuck out of another piece of breathing flesh? Just total depravity. Maybe there's some blood. No time to get all of the clothes off. The bedroom eyes are positively deadly, the female is dominant, aggressive, probably choke you out. Shit's about to get weird without accoutrements. You're not leaving until morning without a cracked rib, a cigarette burn on your ass, or a lingering fear that you've got a VD but, holy mackerel, you are absolutely drained. You rack your goddamned brain the morning after while you chain smoke and rip through a pot of coffee. This is the soundtrack to that night.

by Leonard Cohen
I've been listening to Creston Spiers's (Harvey Milk) solo rendition of this recorded live at the Caledonia Lounge from 2008 a lot lately. Can't find that version, so I'm going with the original. It's not as stripped down or as ragged as Spiers's and I don't feel the same connection to it but, hey, who in their right mind knocks Cohen?
