Here are all of clementix's jams.
by Boards of Canada
My #FinalJam is also my Eternal Jam, one of my favorite pieces of music, the one track in my library I've listened to more than any other. TIMJ and this track fill me with hope for the new, dread of disappointment and loss, and an unfounded faith in progress. Enjoy it, as I always do. From Music Has The Right To Children (1998).

From No. 2 (2014), a beautiful ambient neo-classical piece by a self-taught Belgian composer who previously collaborated with Adam Wiltzie from Stars of the Lid (together as The Dead Texan).

From World of Sleepers (2006). "Do you understand what I am trying to tell you? There are no answers, only choices." [sampled from Solaris (2002)] See y'all at http://letsloop.com/clementix

Packing up. Moving out of here. Just another refugee. Exiles from this lovely place. It was really fine to be here with y'all. This performance from the live album USA (1974), original on Larks' Tongues in Aspic (1973). See you at http://letsloop.com/clementix
Jammed: 16th Aug 2015
From Kiasmos (2014). So sad about TIMJ. You guys were an important part of my life the past 2 years, a lovely global community, and my primary source of new (to-me) music. Will be keeping the jams flowing on http://www.letsloop.com/clementix, and http://tapely.com/users/clementix also, maybe.
Jammed: 12th Aug 2015
Lush electronica by Ólafur Arnalds and Janus Rasmussen from the Thrown EP(2012) gets interestingly woozy and wobbly. I am particularly fond of the unique base rhythm that seems so strange at first, but by the end glides effortlessly through your mind. How do you even describe that? "Dut-dut-dut (pause) Dut-dut-dut (pause) Dut-dut (pause)"?

I thought I was done with this theme, but one more: this #psychedelic atmospheric rock piece prefigures ambient and trance. From Schwingungen (1972). "We are all one."

by Animal Collective
Two hallucinogenically-infused birds with one jam: Animal Collective's song from Fall Be Kind (2009) is the only licensed sample of the Grateful Dead, whose 50th anniversary is this year. #psychedelic #GD50

by The Beatles
My #psychedelic week continues with this lovely "gobbledygook" (as Lennon later called it), which started as a Timothy Leary request for a campaign song when he ran against Ronald Reagan for Governor of California (slogan: Come Together, Join The Party). From Abbey Road (1969).
Jammed: 9th Jul 2015
Still as idiosyncratic today as ever: is it punk rock? jazz? performance art? I care not, for it is delightful. From Double Nickels on the Dime (1984). "I am a tide, the rise and the fall, the reality soldier, the laugh child."

by Tom Robinson
On this Pride weekend with historic change in the US and elsewhere, I am astounded by how much has changed in my adult lifetime, and I am grateful for the courage and persistence of so many.
Jammed: 28th Jun 2015
by Johnny Hallyday
How can we do #FrenchJamWeek without some Johnny Hallyday? The French Elvis. The biggest rock star you may have never heard of. A big hit in 2002, giant stadiums of adoring fans now sing this song back to him while he looks on smolderingly. I cannot resist his gruff charms.

by All India Radio
Australian group All India Radio combines electronica with traditional instruments to great chill effect. This is one of their best pieces. Boards of Canada fans will enjoy the sampled voiceover that starts around 3'30. From Echo Other (2006).
Jammed: 3rd Jun 2015
From Recollection (2005), a superb album of ambient electronica seamlessly interwoven with field recordings, mostly of environmental noise. Purposefully and meticulously executed, this (and every) track carries the listener through a specific experience in the world, formed out of the memories of the artist. It is intensely personal. Oti is UK artist Damion Beail, who has also worked with Tetsuo Inoue.
Jammed: 1st Jun 2015
This remix certainly adds a lot to the original. Is this the best Boards of Canada remix ever? Discuss. From Guerolito (2005).
Jammed: 31st May 2015
Buried underneath all of that delightful noise rock and hip-hop there is a very traditional song lurking. "Un disco quebrado," indeed. - 'Who are you?' - 'I'm the enchanting wizard of rhythm.' From Odelay (1996).
Jammed: 29th May 2015
by Erik K Skodvin
Neo-classical dark ambient piece that evokes the beginning of an uneasy night. I imagine it as soundtrack to something written by China Mieville, somehow. From Flare (2010).
Jammed: 19th May 2015
In a weird gray area between homage and pastiche, there is Ween. This psychedelic-folk oddity is hilarious and is just great music. One of many great songs from The Mollusk (1997).
Jammed: 22nd Apr 2015
by Harmonia & Eno
In 1976 Harmonia and Brian Eno went on retreat together and some of the recordings were finally released on Tracks and Traces (2012). This track has some of the feel of Campfire Headphase-era Boards of Canada 30 years later, interestingly.
Jammed: 19th Apr 2015
by Antonio Vivaldi
Sonata in B minor, originally for 2 violins, viola, and basso continuo, RV 169. Performance by Accademia degli Astrusi. Movement I. Adagio. #sundaysoother
