Here are all of colonel's jams.

Was thinking about posting the Queen version, then this arrived on my screen. I am now convinced I'll join a choir in retirement.

First heard it on ABC radio earlier this week. Continues a small exploration in to music from the Pacific. Earns a thumbs up.

Plays during the credits of Lucy. Had my ears pricked from the get-go. All kinds of intrigue here.

by Te Vaka
A discovery from recent trip to Fiji. Music from the Pacific has so much heart. Te Vaka have recorded seven albums - I'm going to explore.

You seemed a bit upset As you were walking out Ay, where you going tonite? I'd like to find out
by The Box Tops
It took me ages to decide on a jam this week. Nothing stuck in my head nor did anything really make a connection with me musically. So I went for an ol' classic. There has been a wealth of covers - I like both the BTO and Al Green versions (I almost jammed Al's instead).

After attending a friend's wedding at the weekend I couldn't help but post this. The song for the bride & I's first dance many months ago.
by Le Hoodoo Gurus
I didn't think this song could get any better until... According to wikipedia..."Leilani is a beautiful maiden who went to the volcano to collect sea shells. However, despite the warnings of her lover, she still kept going. The volcano erupted and she was killed." Reading this reminded me of a Garfield episode. If you read the plot for "Garfield in Paradise" there are some similarities. Leilani + Garfield...does this get any better?
by Kid Cudi (feat. Kanye West)
We all know Kanye has his cringe moments but I enjoy his input here. The drum intro hooks me in every time.
by Creedence Clearwater Revival
This is likely to become my "eternal jam" in the near future. For many reasons The Midnight Special resonates personally. I have listened to a few different versions - Johnny Rivers does an interesting upbeat but it doesn't connect with me; Lead Belly sticks with this song's American south roots; Bobby Darin's version I find boring.
by Mark Ronson feat. Amy Winehouse
Had always known of this number but never really given it much attention. This week I heard former Australian Idol winner Casey Donovan do a live cover. Donovan's live cover was far better than her YouTube blog version but I think Amy's version tops both.
by Peter Bjorn and John
"You don't have to tell, 'cause I know so well What we are all after Likewise if uncertainty puts a spell on me I have to zoom in your laughter, your laughter"
by Mark Ronson & The Business Intl
Put the iPod on shuffle recently and this was first up. Haven't looked back.
by DragonForce
This has a special place in my heart even though I am not usually one for metal. Many university nights ended with my mildly inebriated housemates trying to count how many times this track could possibly have ended.
by Franz Ferdinand
Before selecting this jam I had to double check whether it was posted by me before. I suppose this gives credit to how much I like it.
by Motley Crue
Once upon a time The Sunday Footy Show always concluded with this jam. The show has somewhat waned over the years. Regardless of this unimportant fact, you can't go wrong with Motley Crue.

by The Offspring
I love it - yet I also feel it is the closest thing to not being The Offspring.
by Foster the People
Confession: when I hear this jam I just want to play it loud. "I’ve been in places and I won’t pretend, that I'd make it out just to fall on my head."
by Heart
An old man hitting on a young woman - many questionable feels. The music is the hook for me on this track. Dreamboat Annie, Crazy On You and Sing Child also notable mentions from the album.
by The Falls
Once upon a time The Falls played at Gulgong Folk Festival. Last week they released their debut US EP - Into The Fire. So far this is my favourite track from the once Sydney-based couple. Call me crazy but what I like about these two is their back story - it makes their music shine.

Flashback - another gem on Speakerboxxx/The Love Below. From memory this hasn't received as much airplay as other tracks on the album but I still rate it highly.
by True Live
These guys are awesome live! Live up to their name I guess..."LET'S JUST BOUNCE AROUND!"
