Ok so the time has finally come for my final jam.So what to choose? Well as cliched as it is hopefully TIMJ will be a light that will never go out......even if we can't post on here anymore. It's been great to discover so much great music & it's lovely to know there are so many people out there with as much of a passion for music & fabulous tunes as I have.I'm off to give God's Jukebox a try so maybe see you on the other side.......if not it's a been a blast.TTFN

I've given up on saying this is my last jam as they keep changing things so instead this week's jam is in honour of the fact I will be in New York this week & at some point I may be going across 110th Street.....then again maybe not either way it's a great tune.......

Ok so I was looking through my previous jams & it dawned on me that I had never chosen my all time favourite song! What better time to remedy that than using it as my penultimate jam? So here it is the best song ever written......sung by the best singer ever......IMHO of course......

Devastated that things are changing on here.It has been so good to discover & share such good music with good people.Anyway only a few more Jams to go.....this week's Jam is a new track & is more of a poem but a worthwhile one dedicated to a man pivotal in the history of British & consequently World music.....the video is a who's who of people from the Manchester arts scene.....anyway the final countdown begins.......

Next Sunday I am going to The Jam exhibition at Somerset House in London.....IMHO a fitting tribute to my all time favourite group as is my jam this week....if proof were needed just listen to the lyrics & a lesson in how to paint a picture using just words.....

Ok so this week my choice was made relatively easy when I heard what is my favourite song of 2015 so far on 6Music......I love the chaos of the song & when the sax kicks in near the end it is a stroke of genius & totally transforms the tune......

I love De La Soul & I love how totally redefined Hip Hop......here's a prime example with no rapping just Maceo Parker doing his thing......5 minutes of music Heaven....enjoy.......

Heard this on 6Music on Sunday morning. It's one of those tunes you know without actually knowing who it's by.It has certainly stood the test of time considering it was released in 1977.

Ok so for Valentine I should strictly be choosing a slushy love song but this is a love song of sorts....just not one with a happy ending! Anyway this man is so talented at such a young age.Another album I'm impatiently waiting for this year......
Jammed: 10th Feb 2015
by Natalie Prass
I seem to be in the habit of choosing jams from artists new to me but it's a good sign there are so many decent new acts about to choose from....this one is from an album that took a couple of years to come out but was certainly worth the wait......

You know that moment you hear something for the first time & within seconds you think 'wow that was amazing'? Well this tune was one of them....I will say no more but urge you to please give it a spin....

This is from a new Motown Christmas album & as you would expect the musical arrangement is superb plus it's an excuse to choose another Gregory Porter song........

I saw Gregory Porter at the Corn Exchange in Cambridge on Friday. The man has a voice like velvet. As someone said coming out he doesn't just sing, he tells a story......anyway there was no contest who would be my jam this week.....
