Saw Dean Wareham last week. Brought a paper to the gigi asking for this song; he and his band played it, along with tons of other Galaxie 500 (Tugboat, Strange, Blue Thunder... When Will You Come Home brought me close to tears) songs and a few Luna ones. Amazing, perfect show. Still thinking about it.

Brilliant song by a brilliant band.

They're easily one of my favorite bands, and I can't wait for the new album. While it doesn't arrive, I'll just be listening to them nonstop, as always. This one, easily one of their longest/most epic songs, is one of my favorites.

Last week I saw them for the fourth time. Didn't like the new album that much, and most songs from it didn't work that well live (except for a few like Graceless, I Should Live in Salt, Don't Swallow the Cap and Sea of Love)... but it doesn't really matter. The show was great. I've been listening to their music for so long and been a fan for so many years that it's all worth it just to listen to some of their best (Terrible Love, Vanderlyle Crybaby Geeks, Sorrow, Abel, Afraid of Everyone, Slow Show... they never play enough from Sad Songs, Alligator or Boxer). This one, in particular, sounds amazingly powerful live. It was the third song of their set, the fourth time I was listening to it live, and as soon as they started playing it it just brought tears to my eyes. It was my fourth time seeing them, and I'll probably see them four more.

Really liked his new album; kinda feels like both Destroyed and Wait for Me mixed together. Never really got the way people say he's been losing his touch. Both Wait for Me and Destroyed were great, and I can easily say the same about this new one. He's making some really melancholic and beautiful music these days. I think this The Last Day is a great example of that.

Been listening to this one a lot, lately. Saw Johnny Marr a few weeks ago and it sounded great when he played it.

Their new single isn't bad, but nothing compares to what they've done in Dear Science and what came before that. Nine Typed of Light was, for me, a disappointment, and I just hope their new LP is an improvement. I'll always be there to see them live, though; brilliant live band.

I'm a huge fan of The Killers. Sam's Town is a brilliant album, and I love Hot Fuzz and Day & Age as well. I first saw them live in 2009, and at the time it was an amazing experience; when I knew they were coming back this year, I was as excited as I was nervous. 4 years is some time, and Battleborn is just a generic, awful rock album. I still loved their oldies, and was still a huge fan, but I had no idea in what shape or form the band was in terms of live shows these days, particularly with a tour dedicated to their worst album so far. I was surprised to find out that, in terms of live act, they're even better now than they were in 2009, and that all the classics still have the same power they had 4 years ago. It was an absolutely brilliant show, and the band looks the happiest they've ever been. Hell, even the new songs sounded good live! However, for some reason, it was this hit in particular that packed the biggest nostalgia wave and emotional punch. Great show, still a great band
