Here are all of kierongillen's jams.
Pulp's most righteous, sadistic revenge fantasy comes on the radio and captures a lot of how I'm feeling in the last couple of days. No, I dong like feeling like this, but I want to do something a little less destructive with it.

Start a Mercury Heat playlist as I write the first new script for it since 2010. I start with this, and continue in a similar vein. Rest of the playlist here: http://open.spotify.com/user/missadalovelace/playlist/3t3ymNUqYNN3KFf0kR06PU #MercuryHeat

As tradition dictates, when I do my Taxes, I listen to the Knife for the Taxes-related lyric. Also, waiting for the bit where Miss Piggy appears to start singing, which is still AMAZING even a decade on.

Opened my set with this at Thought Bubble. Rewatching video, and thinking that it's basically the Ur-Plot for WicDiv with Diana Dors as Ananke. Ridicule is nothing to be scared of, etc.

Egosurfing isn't good for nothing. If I hadn't egosurfed this morning I wouldn't have inadvertently and belatedly discovered the Afghan Whigs cover of Frank Ocean's Love Crimes.

A weird series of free association leads me to listening to this again. I believe this was the one track on the album I liked when I reviewed it. I mean, I preferred the original, but still.

I asked friend Clara to make me a playlist of Folk stuff - along with Blues, the big gaping hole in my listening - and this started it. Been listening to it ever since. Extraordinarily lovely.

Damon and I are having an awake before 6am and starting work sort of day. Don't join us, unless you have, and then it's too late, and you may as well. There are basically two sorts of songs about robots. One is the SAD ROBOT! and the other is the SEXY ROBOT! (There's also the SEXY! SAD! ROBOT! which is an advanced class.) This is the former. You will believe a robot can be vaguely maudlin.

I've been obsessing over a live version of this, and only now listen to the actual recording. Nuclear war, genitals and Leah from Journey Into Mystery wrapped up in string. THESE ARE A FEW OF MY FAVOURITE THINGS.

Via @jimhepplewhite, I'm feeling this.

Xmas Steps by Mogwai came up on shuffle. Fuck me, I performed acts of grand onanism to myself over this one in my fanzine at the time. It still can tear flesh from bone when it wants to. Hearts!

This came up on random shuffle on Sunday morning at the con when I was getting ready. I haven't listened to it for a few years. I found myself thinking "I used to cry pretty much every time I ever heard this. But, really, it's a little thin sounding..." By the half-way point, I'm full-body-shudder weeping. Magical.
