That's cuz he's done commercials and movie trailers and all kinds of voice over work for over half a century. I urge you to google "word jazz" or just go to wordjazz.com and lose a lazy afternoon of your life to his deep resonant voice. I wanted to post "What Time Is It?" but couldn't find a good copy. His "Sound Museum" is also a lot of fun. "Infinite O'Clock" was on my short list for this jam, but here in The Faces In The Jazzmatazz you get a taste of what the man's about. How he is a consummate storyteller and can take your mind places you've never been. His voice is powerful and personal. Like an old friend or esteemed mentor or an unreliable narrator with a wink in his smile. In my youth I dreamed to be as good as he is at the spoken word. I'm still dreaming. Let me know what you think.
